Local Politics...

     These signs are posted on the boulevard  beside my building but they are everywhere in the city right now...


 

      There are local civic elections happening in North and West Vancouver on Nov. 19 and 15 respectively. What I've never been able to figure out is how the average voter can possibly  educate themselves thoroughly (and who would want to?) on each one of these candidates, where they stand on issues, what their credentials are, what they believe, etc. 

     I can see the office of Mayor maybe but just look at these lists...

    I know they're a necessary evil and good on them for getting involved but who are all these people?!? Ex student council members, grad committee and hall monitors I'll bet, the same ones that organize the high school reunions (not that there's anything wrong with that). Like I said in a previous blog I know less and care less about politics than probably anybody on the planet-- but from his poster I do kind of like this guy...he cares...
