Skylark, Wildflower..
Music Producer David Foster was a keyboardist for the pop group Skylark whose song “Wildflower” was a top ten hit in 1972..
I think I read somewhere that this vocal was done in one take. Whatever it took, it's a classic..

Hiya,
My ex, Alan (whom I still adore) talked a bit about this song. It was apparently written by a former cop from the Island somewhere. I think it was first stab at songwriting, too. I think Al had a bit of resentment of his success cuz he's been writing songs for years, but he's never broken through. He's his own worse critic and I think has a fear of success, . . .
He plays a beautiful jazz guitar that he also doesn't give himself enough credit for.
Anyway, I finally know what song he was referring to and it sounds vaguely familiar (as I am much, MUCH younger than you and especially Alan tee hee)
